Foundation

Terrestres Servo Coronas was founded on the 22nd March 2016 by our Founder for the exclusive purpose of proactively engaging in, financially supporting and encouraging the growth of charitable projects within the Commonwealth of Nations.

Paul Borrow-Longain had long been involved in directly supporting such projects as an engaged individual, but he wanted to make a larger, more pronounced and long-term difference to the lives of those less fortunate than himself, and especially those living within the Commonwealth of Nations Family. With this mission in mind, and with his drive and enthusiasm to make a positive impact, Terrestres Servo Coronas was founded.

Those who understand Latin will already know that Terrestres Servo Coronas is translated into English as ‘Serving Earthly Crowns’, which is the perfect name for a not for profit operating in the Commonwealth of Nations, and follows in the proud tradition and guiding example of the Head of the Commonwealth, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

H.M. The Queen has, since her time as a young Princess, held a special place in her heart for the countries of the Commonwealth of Nations and specifically for her peoples. Her Majesty has spoken at length and on numerous occasions about the importance of the Commonwealth Family – sharing ideas, educating each other on our shared history and our varied and colourful cultures, supporting each other to become the best guardians of our heritage, history, environment and cultures for future generations, and on the significant benefits of working together.

Her Majesty’s commitment to the Commonwealth of Nations has been a shining light not only to her peoples at home and abroad for decades, but also closer to home within Her Majesty’s own family – our Royal Family. H.R.H. Prince Charles, Prince of Wales has taken a strong lead in supporting Commonwealth projects, supported by his wife, H.R.H. The Duchess of Cornwall for over a decade. This proud tradition has been passed onto the next generation in the persons of T.R.H. The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge and T.R.H. The Duke & Duchess of Sussex, whom have all proactively engaged in charitable projects throughout the Commonwealth.

Terrestres Servo Coronas believes that everyone within the Commonwealth has potential to make a positive difference in the lives of our Commonwealth cousins.

Together with our supporters and sponsors, our Advisory Committee made up of like-minded individuals spread geographically across the Commonwealth, are spearheading support for charitable projects.

As a not for profit Terrestres Servo Coronas is only in our infancy, but we are built on solid foundations, managed by individuals with strong governance and project management experience, and supported in our mission by a dedicated and honourable Advisory Committee as well as a number of Standing Committees of experts.
